This unique real-time, transactional and heterogenous Change Data Capture (CDC) technology enables the users of mission-critical applications continuous access to real-time information.
Since 1995, GoldenGate supports High Availability and Real-Time Data Integration solutions for mission-critical applications in banking, healthcare, finance, telecommunication, e-business and retail sectors.

GoldenGate TDM platform offers solutions in two main subjects:
High Availability/Disaster Tolerance
- GoldenGate Live Standby: A high availability software implementation that captures transactional data from the primary system and applies it to the backup database in real time. If a failure or outage occurs at the primary system, the backup system is immediately available to support users with the most current data committed at the source up to its failure point, minimizing the data loss.
- GoldenGate Zero-Downtime Operations: Allows for zero interruption to critical applications’ availability by eliminating planned outages during necessary system upgrade, migration, and maintenance activities.
- GoldenGate Active-Active: With its bi-directional configuration capabilities GoldenGate Active-Active solution enables highest availability and performance on critical systems. The solution processes, distributes, and synchronizes transactional data across multiple databases while delivering robust features for data conflict detection and resolution.
- GoldenGate Database Tiering: Enables achieving highest performance of production systems while easily supporting necessary lookup-only activities with unlimited ability to scale as user and data volumes continue to grow over time.
Real-Time Data Integration
- GoldenGate Real-Time Data Warehousing: Enables the real-time movement of new transactional data from primary systems into the data warehouse, thereby making the most current data always available to drive enhanced business intelligence.
- GoldenGate Live Reporting: Off-loads reporting activity from the production database to a lower-cost secondary system, where the most current data is always available to support real-time reporting needs.
- GoldenGate Transactional Data Integration: Allows for real-time, point-to-point data integration so that distributed databases and the applications they support can continuously access, utilize, and act on the most current data available.
GoldenGate TDM Technology
GoldenGate TDM software has few critical qualities that differentiates it from data replication or other CDC technologies:

- Heterogenous: Can operate between different databases, operating systems or hardware platforms.
- Transactional: Maintains the referential integrity of transactions so that the true business activity and history is kept intact.
- Non-Intrusive & Low Overhead: Captures changed data from the database transaction logs and API’s causing little to no overhead on the source systems.
- Scalable: Has the capacity to transfer more than 1000 transactions in a second.
The main components of the solution are: GoldenGate Capture, GoldenGate Trails and GoldenGate Delivery.
